Golfing Tips: How to Get a Free Release

The release is one of the trickiest parts of the golf swing. You don’t really want to force the release to happen – or you could end up flipping the clubface over at impact and hit a big hook. At the same time, you don’t want to prevent the release from happening, as you will then hit shots that are pushed out to the right (for a right-handed golfer). The release is something that should happen naturally, but that is easier said than done.

Assuming the rest of your golf swing is in good shape, the release is really the last part that has to come together in order to hit a nice shot. If you feel like you are having trouble with getting your release down just right, try the following tips. Hopefully, one or more of these tips will help you get a good feel over the release portion of your swing and your golf shots can improve as a result.
